Application of GIS Technology for Pune & Mumbai Security

                    It would be difficult to provide good security to the entire Pune & Mumbai City by traditional method because these cities have huge population who are engaged in varied activities. Other things are our government is unable to manage the security services with good manpower & other requisites due to the budget limitation. But currently terrorists are using GIS (Geographic Information System) technology to complete their targets & still we did not adopt this technology to prevent them. GIS technology has various benefits like it can save manpower & capital and give excellent service for security’s. USA GIS based security system is very good example of this technology.

            GIS technology offers the capability to monitor and manage information relating security operations over large geographic & also management versatility of information and give perfect decision to take action. GIS technology includes variety of command, control, battlefield management, Image Intelligence and other critical solutions that can support police and City security requirements. If Government will apply GIS technology for Pune & Mumbai City then we can avoid 9/11, 13/7 terrorists blast. because it will help to find what is happing & where also help in taking action.
